Fiona launched her new book Knitted Fairies and we celebrated Koala Week  on the same day in the gallery. There was  a display of wattle, gum leaves and toy Aussie animals in the window, and lots of fairies inside.

Here are some quilts made by Uralla quilters. They were exhibited at the gallery in September 2011.

The Giants

The Giants were in the gallery garden on Saturday 27th October 2012, making work for the industrious Little folk. Fortunately all was resolved happily just in time for the arrival of a Very Important Inspector. After music, dancing and feasting everyone went into the gallery to see the picture books written and illustrated by school children for a special competition based on workshops given earlier by Fiona and Helen. The young writers and illustrators had produced some splendid stories and illustrations. congratulations to the prize winners and all those who participated.

Also in the gallery was a display of beautiful quilts made by people from Armidale and Uralla and a new selection of work by David Evans. Most of  those pictures were done in England in 1969, but have only recently been framed.
